About the Museum
Most code is read once, by a compiler, and forgotten. A few pieces are different: people copy them into notebooks, argue about them, and pass them on. This museum collects those pieces and hangs them on a wall.
Each work is shown verbatim, from its primary source, with a placard giving the author, the year, the language it was written in, and a short note on why it is worth looking at and what it led to. Where the exact original text could not be confirmed, the placard says so.
Code remains the property of its authors. Works are reproduced under their licenses or as brief excerpts for commentary, and every placard links to the source.
